Skellig Sheets

Skellig Sheets simplifies the process of documenting projects and configuration verification by extracting relevant DeltaV™ data into manageable, meaningful structures.

Tool Functionality

Skellig Sheets allows the user to parse DeltaV™ export file (*.fhx) data and display it in a clearly structured spreadsheet. It also parses data found in DeltaV™ Explorer (Library, Control Strategies, Setup, Control Network, and Recipe data). The spreadsheet data is seamlessly organized with automatic sorting, tailored column widths that accommodate text length, precise table filters, and user-friendly navigation tab links for effortless exploration.

Save Time, Increase Accuracy, and Focus Resources

Incoherent data poses significant challenges to projects; however, with the right tools, organizations can extract valuable insights from the data. With this software suite, project teams can drastically reduce time spent on documentation, increase accuracy, and focus resources on project execution.

Use Cases

Users of Skellig Sheets can expect to save time on impact assessments, pull versioning information from VCAT, verify key parameters across multiple modules, and more:

Document DeltaV™ Data in Kneat, Word, or Excel

Having all DeltaV™ data available in Excel allows users to easily copy data into documentation tables. We estimate the tool saves roughly 75% of time documenting new classes and recipes in design documents, as opposed to manual documentation.

Generate Documentation Referenced in Test Protocols

The user can rerun configuration data DeltaV™ sections/objects through the tool to regenerate tables in test protocols. Then, via validation rules/formulas, errors can be visually highlighted and tested, instantly saving time directly proportional to the size of test protocol, from hundreds to tens of thousands of parameters.

Locate Parameter References in Sequences and Expressions

The user can export EMs to run through the tool, then perform a Find All on desired parameters to find all references in ACT/CND/CALC and SFC action expressions. This allows engineers to quickly identify configuration issues.

Sequence Data Verification

Ensuring all EM command delay expressions reference the correct step number is as simple as adding a filter on the Action Delay column in the SFC tabs of the exported spreadsheet.

Verification of Key Parameters across multiple modules

Export the area/modules in question and parse using the tool. The targeted key parameters will be located in a column for verification at a glance: patterns hidden within data become easy to see.

Offline Databases

The tool can parse entire system databases which can be viewed anywhere. This works very well for designers to keep codebase within easy reach for reference when designing.
